Lisa has been teaching English since she
graduated from Durham University at the end
of the 80s.
In Barcelona she has taught in several
universities and was until recently Head of
Department at a private business
university. Lisa moved into teacher training
a (good) few years ago and took over as
Director of TEFL International
in Barcelona 3 years ago. She likes to
think she runs the centre with a firm but
gentle hand, is obsessed with Humanistic
ideals and is famously easy to win over with
tea and dark chocolate! When not in the
school (and she virtually lives there..)
Lisa enjoys being outside in the countryside
or on the beach, spending time with her
family and cats, reading and painting.
Alena Widows
Alena has almost ten years of
experience teaching English. She has taught
English, designed teaching material, set up
cultural sensitivity workshops and trained
English tutors in public libraries in the
USA. She has helped set up and organize
after school programs for refugee children
and immigrants and has participated in
language-learning and cultural programs in
Guadalajara, Mexico. She has over five
years of experience teaching and teacher
training in Barcelona, Spain. When she's
not teaching she likes to see live music,
dance, relax on the beach and write.
